A: Well I am a part of the Brotherhood of the Phoenix, as well as, of course, my Comic Strip and other projects in the works.

A: Well I can't give too much away at this point, but I'm working on a few books, perhaps a series, of neo-pagan non-fiction relating to moving past sterotypical boundries within a magickal construct.

A: Yes. The pain, and type of pain, varied on area to area.

Q: What is Polyamory?
A: The word “polyamory” is based on the Greek and Latin for “many loves.” A polyamorous relationship is a romantic relationship that involves more than two people.

Q: So Polyamory is Swinging?
A: Not exactly. Swinging has a different focus. Swingers focus on recreational sex, though friendships and deeper bonds may develop. With polyamory, deep relationships are the focus, though the sex is often fun.

Q: So Polyamory = Open Relationships?
A: Yes and No. For some, polyamory means having an open relationship, and the partners can date, or have sex with, whomever they wish. However, for others, polyamory is a closed relationship. Meaning that for those that are together there is no sex with anyone outside the relationship.

Q: What is your comic strip called?
A: Oh My Gods!, it’s available here.

Q: What is it about?
A: It’s “a pagan based comic strip for the polytheistic masses” … basically it pokes fun at all religions (including polytheistic ones) from a neopagan perspective.

A: Since March 7th, 2002

A: I have over 1,000 strips in my archive on the site to date

A: Website’s mostly, with a smattering of poster, business card, and other promotional work.

A: I have been designing websites since Jr High and have been working freelance since my Junior year of High School.

A: I do, but my primary focus is on graphic design. Or, as I say sometimes, “making things pretty”

Q: Where did you learn your website design skills?
A: I have been almost entirely self taught, as the design program at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is wholly lacking in such extensive and “real-world” teaching in these areas.

Q: What is Vegan / Veganism?
A: A vegan is someone who chooses not to ingest animals (meat, fish, bird, etc), as well as animal products (dairy, honey, eggs, etc).

Q: Are you Vegan?
A: Yes.

Q: Why?
A: I once went vegan for 2 extended weekends (four days) in a row with friends who were very vegan and knew how to eat a proper balanced meal. It was not only flavorful but I felt amazingly healthy and vibrant after both weekends and that was all the reason I needed!

Q: What is Fire Spinning / Poi?
A: “Poi” is the Maori word for a ball on a cord that is swung around the body. “Poi” is pronounced like “Toy” or “Boy”.

The Maori are natives of New Zealand. Poi are used in a dances by the females (sometimes used as mating rituals), and also swung for co-ordination training by the warriors before battle. Poi are also used as a training aid for other ancient weapons like the Mere or Patu (Short club)

Standard Poi heads are the size of a baseball to a softball (depending on type and personal preference). Heads range from being simple beanbags, black light reactive tailed bags, light up heads (LED), glow sticks, or Kevlar® wicks to be soaked and lit aflame (aka Fire Poi).

Q: What do you believe?
A: I personally practice a spiritual craft that respects the energies of the world around me, the ancestors before me, all the Gods & Goddesses and the spirits that exist in all worlds. I engage in regular inter-relations with specific entities, spirits, ancestors, Gods, Goddesses and forces within nature and the cosmos.

Further, I believe that everyone’s spiritual path that makes them feel connected to the divine is right for them, no matter how dogmatic / mainstream or how outrageous / random. Also, no-one has any right to enforce their spiritual path upon anyone else who is not interested in learning or practicing it.

Q: Is Shivian your given name?
A: No, but it is the name I choose to go by. Further, I am working on getting my name legally changed to it.

A: I am 25 years old, born on November 20th at 5:03pm, in Berwyn IL, USA.

A: I have found that many people wish to, to various extents, get to know me. I have also found that I am not always the best with words when describing vast topics like my Spirituality, Sexuality, Polyamory, etc. Hence, I decided that creating a file to point people to might work better!

A: I really have no problem with it. This is all public information that people can find with some simple google searches, so why hide it? I am not ashamed of any of it.
