The Red / Fire and Blue / Water Dragons are intertwined and yet separate, making up two halves of an alchemical whole.

The Blue / Water Dragon sits atop the Dark World tattoo. By being here he sits in the Stars within the Upperworld of the World Tree – yet knows the Tree’s full depth and wisdom. Coiled around a star, who’s light shines down upon the Tree, he weaves among the cosmos. However, ever remember that (for me) stars are found both within Upperworld… and Underworld. He sits in the darkness of Winter, the Dark World Tree bare of it’s leaves. He sits and guards it as it sleeps Silent and Knowing in the depths of Winter under a Cresent Moon.

The Blue / Water Dragon embodies the energies of the element of Water as well as the receptive force of Knowladge and Silence, as well as pure receptive nature. Harnessing the energies of the Stars, from which his Power flows, he draws it ever downward, through the Dark World Tree and into the arms and hands. Conversely, the energy flows upwards, through the hands, the Tree and back to him once more – forming a visual microcosmic / macrocosmic orbit.

Together with the Red / Fire Dragon on the opposite arm, they embody both halves of the alchemical whole – shown metaphorically in the Dragon Tribal tattoo upon my right shoulder.
