The Heart Ring is near the very center of the design and is the first ring in the pattern. While holding the Soul inside it, the Heart Ring is indeed it’s own and separate from the Soul. Within the Heart Ring lies my core spiritual foundations. Within it are the eight holidays that I celebrate represented as waxing/waning moon/sun phases. As my personal pratice emphasizes the waxing and waning energy of the sun through the year, along with the energies of the moon on esbats. Starting up atop with Yule, then moving clockwise to Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha (Summer Solstice), Lughnasadh, Mabon and Samhain. Also intertwined with these are the four elemental forces, and their personal arrangement for myself. Starting with North being Earth, East being Fire, South being Air and West being Water. Along with a elemental representation you also see the alchemical symbol I personally utilize to represent each elemental force.

I was guided that the Heart Ring needed to be one entire ring as opposed to separate pieces for these pieces all tie into each other very harmoniously. I personally celebrate the year in accordance with their elemental and seasonal energies along with the holidays. therefore it’s no small surprise that I feel it pertinent to place them as one cohesive unit.
