The South is the panel for Air, lands of communication, intellect, thought, and music. The lands of Air have taught me much through music & dance. Before meeting Daniel Morgan (former boyfriend of 2 years) I knew little to nothing of music, and I certainly hadn’t danced before! Through him and with him, the gods introduced me to both.

Dan gave me artists, bands, songs, lyrics, and styles. Dan took me out to dance for the first time. Dan taught me that dancing wasn’t just about “wiggling [my] shoulders back and forth.” Dan and I had not one song together, but many. And I still listen to them today, even though we have gone our separate ways.

Dan taught me more about music and dance then I ever would have imagined. It is to the point where I now use dance and music to cast some of my magicks, weave energy, and commune with the gods. Whether small dances to music I cast within my mind, simple wiggling of the hands of feet, or full out, full body dancing at a club or around a fire, dance and music has become an important tool in my workings and my spiritual communion. Music and dance taught me a dynamic of energy that I had never experienced before them. It’s amazing, powerful, beautiful, dangerous, exciting, and humbling.

Thank you Dan. You have given me a gift and lesson I will forever treasure and never forget.
