Neopagan Recommended Reading List

This list is designed with the neophyte to paganism, neopaganism, witchcraft, spells, magick, etc in mind. It's intention is to help said person understand the typical Western system of magick, often based around the standard western esoteric system & ceremonial / hermetic magickal constructs, as well as traditional magickal practices of the english isles. This list is intentionally not exhaustive, and rather prefers to be a clear and concise list of reading materials without overloading the reader with redundant information.

Commentary on this page from neophytes to veterans is welcome and encouraged, please contact me with your thoughts.

PS: I continue to feel that the best way to learn is from a mentor / teacher. However, I understand and respect that this is not an option for many people in the world for various reasons, hence this list. If possible (and you are comfortable with the concept) I would advocate partnered learning and exercises to work through the materials below, as it often will help deepen the experience of all involved.

Beginning the Journey

Topics and materials to begin the quest into neopaganism. Intentionally building a strong foundation in western elemental practices and a clear understanding of the modern neopagan landscape before delving into more expansive materials which often lack refined commentary on foundational exercises, etc.
